Sara Teasdale
1884 1933
Sara Teasdale was born on 8 August [884 in
St. Louis, Missouri, and was educated at home and in private schools. Later she
travelled extensively in the United States and abroad. In 1918, she won the Pulitzer Prize for a collection of
poems entitled Love Songs. She lived the rest of her life only for her poetry and
died on 29 January 1933 in New York.
